About ThriftyNest

ThriftyNest is a practical buying guide for people who want a comfortable home without overspending. We cover budget kitchen appliances, storage, cleaning, home office, pets, garden and small energy savings - the everyday purchases where a bad choice quietly costs you money for years.

How we choose what to recommend

We do not have a test lab, and we do not pretend to. Instead we work from published manufacturer specifications, owner reviews, and one check that most deal sites skip: every product we link to is verified to actually exist on Amazon. We look the item up, match it against the brand and model we intend to recommend, and discard it if the match turns out to be a look-alike, an accessory, a bundle, or a different capacity. A guide that sends you to a part instead of the product is worse than no guide at all.

What we will not do

We will not claim we tested, bought, measured or owned a product we have not. We will not invent a model number, a price, or a statistic to make a paragraph look more authoritative. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out - a shorter honest guide beats a longer confident one.

How the site is funded
